International forum "Sustainable and Digital Transition for Creativity"

As part of the cross-border film festival Tribute to a vision, the International Forum “Sustainable Digital Transformation for Creativity” will take place in Gorizia (IT) on 8 October 2025, dedicated to artificial intelligence and the sustainable digital transition in the cultural and creative sectors.

The keynote speaker will be Dr. Angus Finney, one of the world’s leading film experts and a key international authority on artificial intelligence in the cultural and creative industries. Finney is an ambassador of CogX AI, Europe’s largest festival and platform dedicated to AI, technology, and sustainable development; a consultant to the British Film Institute (BFI) and to Sweden’s Film i Väst, one of the most important European partners in film production and development.

His book The International Film Business: A Market Guide Beyond Hollywood is considered a bible of the film industry. This year, he published his new work Human in the Loop: AI and the Film Value Chain (2025), to be followed in 2026 by AI and the Screen Industries (Routledge). He is also co-author of the key report BFI CoStar AI and the Screen Sector: Perspectives and Paths Forwards (April 2025).

In addition to Dr. Finney’s keynote, the forum will feature panel discussions with speakers from Slovenia and abroad, representing diverse fields of culture, creativity, and technology. Together, they will address the ethical, environmental, and social dimensions of using AI in culture and cinema, as well as explore the new tools and skills needed to sustainably face the challenges of the future.

The event is organized by Motovila (Creative Europe Desk Slovenia) in partnership with the European network of Creative Europe Desks and Kinoatelje, as the concluding event of the Go Green Cinema project (which also includes Itinerante cinema Isonzo-Kino Soča), supported by the European Union through the GO! 2025 Small Projects Fund of the Interreg VI-A Italy–Slovenia 2021–2027 Programme, managed by EGTC GO.
