Brussels: Kinoatelje in Belgium

The Giuliani nel Mondo Association, and the Fogolâr Furlan of Brussels are organising a conference on the European Capital of Culture 2025 GO! 2025 with the participation of Mateja Zorn from Kinoatelje.

Two cities, one European Capital of Culture: a challenge that the two cities have addressed throughout 2025 with jointly designed and coordinated projects and events. The turbulent history of this urban area invites to reflect on the evolution of the border, which has transformed from an “Iron Curtain” into a symbolic and permeable line.

After a short introductory film produced by Kinoatelje, the following speakers will engage in a conversation on these themes:

• Mateja Zorn, cultural operator from Nova Gorica, Head of Programmes at Kinoatelje in Gorizia, who has significantly contributed to the 2025 cross-border initiatives and projects.
• Paolo Possamai, writer, journalist, historian, and editorial director for the NEM group at major news outlets in Northeast Italy.
